The Dundy County-Stratton LadyTigers held off Kimball in the championship game of the Kimball 4-Team Tournament over the weekend to take top honors and Potter-Dix won over Morrill for consolation and 3rd place honors.

In the opening game of girl's play, Dundy Co-Stratton won over Morrill 66-38 while Kimball won out over Potter Dix 66-47 in the other first round pairing.

It was a case of Kimball having more depth than the Lady Coyotes who have only 8 players on their roster, led by 3 very talented seniors. The game stayed close the first 3 periods with Kimball holding a mere 42-40 lead at the end of 3 periods of play before out- scoring the Lady Coyotes 24-7 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

She also pulled her share of rebounds and made some steals. Senior guard Payge Hoffman hit double figures with 12 and hit a trey. Trinity Langley, 6'0" senior center, had 9 points, Brooke Moench chipped in with 4, and freshman Kelsey Hoffman had 1.

The talented All Conference junior went down hard with an apparent knee injury that left her shouting in pain with 1:12 to play 3rd period. She was helped from the court and taken for x-rays, and did not return.

The Lady Tigers had 8 players score and had 3 in double figures led by Grace Frederick with 13, Allie Behlke 11, and Adalene Krutsinger with 10. Krutsinger scored a tournament high 31 points in the win over Morrill.
