What a heap!

Crews at the Kimball Landfill have been working tirelessly to transform the heap of debris on the right into usable compost material, seen on the left. Green dumpsters are placed in alleys throughout Kimball for compostable material. Instead, these bins are used by many for household waste that should be deposited solely into brown dumpsters. This issue, which has cost nearly $18,000 to mitigate, with more than $12,000 budgeted still.
