Junior High Volleyball splits the week

Kimball Junior High Volleyball was in action, against Sidney on Monday, Sept. 11, and against Leyton and Banner County in a triangular matchup on Thursday, Sept. 14.

The 8th grade girls A team vs. Sidney ended in a loss in two sets, 7-25 and 17-25.

Annissa Kizzair and Peyton Wise scored 4 points each.

The B team did not fare much better with a loss in three sets, 21-25, 16-25 and 15-10.

The forerunner of this game was certainly Grace Murdoch, who scored 12 points.

Against Leyton, Kimball won in three sets 25-21, 13-25 and 15-7.

Annissa Kizzair led with 16 points and Peyton Wise scored 14.

In seventh grade action, the Kimball ladies fell again to Sidney in two sets, 6-25 and 17-25.

Charlotte Hargreaves scored 5 points, Alyssa Paxton and Kallie Crossman each added 4.

Kimball vs Banner County ended with a win in three sets, 25-19, 22-25 and 15-12.

Alyssa Paxton took the lead, scoring 12 points followed by Jayden Paxton with 9 points and Charlotte Hargreaves added 8 points.

The next match-up for the junior high volleyball squad is on Monday, Oct. 2, at home with the game beginning at 4 p.m.
