Yard of the Week: 13 Dowd Ct.

This week's Pride of Kimball, Yard of the Week, goes to Pat Quillen at 13 Dowd Court.

Pat's home features several gorgeous mature trees surrounded by hostas and other shade-loving perennials in a neatly landscaped lawn.

The front and side yards have a hardy vining plant that climbs the brick home next to colorful and lively hollyhock.

"When my husband and I bought our new home in Kimball, years ago, the first thing we did – after settling in, was to plant some trees and flowers. The years have passed and I realize how important caring for your home and yard can be and what a difference it can make for our community," Quillen said.

The beauty extends into her back yard and even further into the adjacent lot behind her home with more shade trees and gardens mixed in with the wild Nebraska prairie.
