George Hansen

George Hansen, 59, of Mesa, Ariz. (formerly of Kimball) died Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for friends and family will be held Saturday, May 20, at the Kimball Event Center in Kimball at 2 p.m. in the Sage Room. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

George was born December 26, 1957 in Kimball, the son of Elaine (Rann) and Frank Hansen. He attended Kimball schools and graduated in 1976.

He married Susan Main on September 19, 1981 in Sterling, Colo. To this union two sons, Travis and Eric, were born.

In George’s own words he was a “woodworker, magician, balloon artist, comedian and all around show off.” Throughout his life he dedicated many hours delighting young and old alike with his talents – often performing at charity and sporting events.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a member of Defiant Brotherhood motorcycle club in Mesa, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, sons Travis and Eric – all of Mesa, Ariz .; three brothers, Paul Hansen (Janie Regnier) of Fairfax, Va., Jim Hansen (Diane) of Arvada, Colo., Allen Hansen (Anna) of Kimball; one sister, Nancy Bradford of Sidney, Nebr., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
