Jenner approved as Veterans Service Officer

Bob Abramson, Don Olsen, Joe Hernandez and Kimball Police Chief Andy Bremer attended the March 7, Kimball County Board of Commissioners morning meeting, representing the County Veterans Service Committee that interviewed five applicants and recommended Robert Jenner for the position of VSO.

Jenner is a veteran of the Air Force, has a good rapport with people and has decades of experience in the business world. He has also been approved by the State of Nebraska VSO.

Jenner's wife, Mary Kay is also an Air Force Veteran as well as a life-long Kimball resident.

Jenner started work on March 11 and will work approximately 20 hours a week in the VSO office.

Sheana Hendrickson, who was filling in part-time as a temporary assistant at the VSO was approved by the committee and the board of commissioners to become the permanent part-time VSO assistant to Jenner.

Between Jenner and Hendrickson, the VSO office will now be open 8 hours a day, Monday thru Friday, except government holidays.
