Kimball speech starts the season with a big win

The Kimball High School speech team competed on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Scottsbluff against seven other schools from the C and D division, and Kimball came away with a first place win.

Nicholas Thomas-Lewis placed first in Persuasive Speaking and Poetry, Kennedy Lewis won second in Extemporaneous Speaking and the Oral Interpretation of Drama team, consisting of Kaden Adrian, Paycen Harroun, Connor Moore, Audrey Day and Kiersten Anderson took fifth.

"The meet is the easy part. For me, getting my speeches ready for the meet is the most difficult part," Thomas-Lewis said. "The meet went well. We took first place, and that's always exciting. We have a long way to go, but this was a great start to the season."
