Norma Sterle Feckner

Norma (Sterle) (Lewis) Feckner of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, September 2 at the Villa Marie Care Facility, she had been dealing with an ongoing illness since June.

Norma was born in Pine Bluffs, Wyo., to Joe and Rose (Klobuchar) Sterle on November 7, 1932, the seventh of eight children.

She attended a rural country school through the 8th grade. She attended Champion Academy and Kimball County High School before moving to California. She graduated from Excelsior Union High School in Norwalk, Cali. She attended Long Beach City College, Barnes Business School and Aims Community College. She returned to Kimball where she was employed for a number of years.

Norma married Roy Lewis on April 28, 1952. They had a son, Gary, and a daughter, Linda.

Norma was a born again Christian and was very involved in church at Oak Street Baptist Church, Kimball, West Greeley Baptist Church, Greeley, Colo., and Corner Stone Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Mo., and raised both of her children at a very young age to go to church.

Norma moved to Denver, Colo., where she was an employee by Gilbert Hirsch, CPA. She married Alvin Feckner on February 17, 1978 in Denver. They moved to Greeley, where she was employed by Gorsline Accounting, Aims Community College and Richter Plumbing & Heating.

Surviving are daughter, Linda (Lewis) Shockley (Edward), Centertown, Mo., granddaughters Michelle (Lewis) Shelkey (Nevada), and Nicolette (Lewis) Riley (Ben); grandson Skyler Lewis; great granddaughter Leighton Riley all of Missouri. She is also survived by two brothers, James Sterle (Shirley), Pine Bluffs, Wyo., and Leonard Sterle (Josefina), Kamloops, BC, Canada and numerous nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Lewis; husbands Roy Lewis and Alvin Feckner; sisters Theresa Evans, Margaret Williams and Mary Greb; brothers Joe Sterle and Harold Sterle.

Norma was cremated in Missouri and she was buried at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery in Pine Bluffs, Wyo., on Oct. 15, 2016, next to her mother, Rose C. Sterle.
