Wildcat runners meet their goals

Both Banner County cross country runners have set goals for their season and coach Kari Gifford said that both Josh Boston and Courtney Knisley met those goals for their first meet of the year.

“Our runners did a great job on Friday at the Gering XC meet. The weather was nice, with a little cloud cover which kept it from getting too hot,” Gifford said. “Both Courtney and Josh met their goal for the meet, running faster than their times on this course last year. There are four junior high runners who were also pleased with their times, running faster than their goal times.”

Those runners are Micah Schick, Makyla Mason, Cheyenne Knisley and Shailynn Blickensderfer.

“In practice we will continue to build mileage and start to incorporate more strength and speed workouts,” Gifford said.
