Longhorn lady golfers improve on previous experience, host Western Trails Conference

Kimball High School's lady golfers began their season on Tuesday, Aug. 23 in Sidney and followed up with a second competition on Thursday in Bayard.

Lila Moore, shot a 66-67=133 at Bayard and teammate Leisha Casimiro shot 85-83=168. Alpine Hickstein of Chadron led the lady golfers at Bayard with a score of 41-38=79 for the day followed by Kenzey Kanno of Mitchell who shot at 46-42=88.

First-year head coach Katie Culek said, "Lila improved tremendously from Tuesday! She has her mental game back on track and her goal for Tuesday in Kimball is to take off five more strokes with improving her short game."

Kimball hosted Western Trails Conference at Four Winds Golf Course on Tuesday, Aug. 30, results were not available at press time.
