Kimball wrestling future looks bright

Kimball's Trevor Ryschon controls his opponent, Jacob Chapman or Yoder, Wyo., at the Rocky Mountain Nationals wrestling tournament on March 19-20. Ryschon took third in the 13-15 year old rookie bracket at 123 pounds.

The Kimball High Wrestling program appears to be on the right track with improvement showed this past season and everyone returning next year. The highlight of the season was sophomore Garrett Pedersen qualifying for the State Tournament and charting a win at the state tourney. Pedersen wound up the year with a record of 16-16 for the team's best win-loss record. Pedersen wrestled at 120 pounds this season.

Other records for the year show Jordan Cluff wrestling at 106 ending up at 7-10 and named Western Trails All Conference. Jake Jenkins at 120 was 4-17. Trevor Ryschon at 126 was 15-19. Z...
