Lady Coyotes best Minatare

The Lady Coyotes won their home conference game against the Minatare Lady Indians 52-22 on Saturday, Jan. 30.

The Potter-Dix girls began pummeling their opponents early in the first quarter, racking up 28 nearly unanswered points while the Lady Indians got on the board with just two.

In the second the Minatare ladies rallied, adding seven to the board but were stilled outscored, with the Lady Coyotes gaining eight.

The second half showed more of the same, with the Coyotes scoring 11 and holding their opponents to just five in the third quarter. In the final quarter Minatare added eight, and while the Potter-Dix girls gained just five, they still had the win.

Leading the Lady Coyotes, Brooke Glass and Alexus Rozelle each scored 12, with Glass hitting 5/9 two-pointers and Rozelle shooting six for six.

Anna McLaughlin added nine to the board hitting four of nine two-point attempts and landing her sole free throw.

Cortney Lewis got on the board with eight, followed by Payge Hoffman with five, including a trey, and Dawson Sharman and Trinity Langley with three each.

Lewis pulled down 10 rebounds, contributed two assists and a steal followed by Langley with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal to her credit and Glass with six rebounds two assists and three steals.

Rozelle and McLaughlin each grabbed four rebounds followed by freshman Brooke Moench with three. Freshman Sierra Wheelock grabbed five rebounds and contributed one assist and one steal.
