Biesecker signs with Southeast Community College

There were lots of smiles, pats on the backs, high fives, and congratulations galore Monday at High Noon when Kimball's Madison Biesecker signed her letter of intent to play volleyball for Southeast Community College located in Beatrice, Nebraska.

Coach Carrie Puhalla, Head Volleyball Coach and Student Activities Director for the school drove into town to oversee the signing of the talented young senior who just finished out a very successful High School career for Kimball High.

When asked what her plans were for Miss Biesecker, coach Puhalla said "I want her for my setter. I have recruited a lot of height for next season, but I like the athleticism and style of Madison. I like her serve style and I am excited to get her name on the line." Coach Puhalla went on to say that she recruited strong in Western Nebraska this year and was going to sign a girl from Gering and one from Lexington on this trip as well. "I don't look for the international recruits like so many schools do these days. I like Nebraska girls on my roster," Puhalla said. She went on to say that she will graduate a majority of this past year's roster so there is an excellent opportunity for Madison to play right away in her first season with the two year school. When Madison's grandmother Pat asked if the Storm would play anywhere close to Kimball, Puhalla said North Platte would be the closest.

At this time Madison plans to pursue only the sport of volleyball at the college level, which pleased coach Puhalla.
