Robert E. Christiansen

Robert E. Christiansen, 61, of Kimball, died at Regional West Medical Center on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Mel Daves officiating. Burial will be held in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Friends may also visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Robert’s Tribute wall and leave messages of condolence for the family. Memorials have been established to the family. The services for Robert have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Robert Eugen Christiansen was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on October 23, 1954, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Knight) Christiansen. Robert loved hunting and fishing, firewood and camouflage. Because of his passion for fishing, he taught everyone that he could the right way to fish. He was an avid hunter who loved elk hunting in Montana. Robert always talked about his love for Montana and his desire to return there someday. He also had a vast knowledge of guns and ammunition.

Survivors include his parents Dorothy and Bob Christiansen of Kimball, NE; son Joel of Wheatland, WY; fiancée Lisa Hilliker of Cheyenne, WY; brother John (Shelly) Christiansen of Ogallala, NE; and his two dogs Shadow and Gordy. He was preceded in death by his son Josh, sisters Mary Leslie and Laines Lea, brothers Patrick and Alan.
