On Monday, Kimball Airport Authority Board Chairman Jason Lockwood, along with Kimball Mayor Keith Prunty, dedicated the Kimball Airport Flight Center to Dr. Don and Mary Gerner, formerly of Kimball. According to Lockwood, Dr. Don Gerner has been involved at the local airport for more than 40 years, and served on the Airport Authority Board for nearly 40 years. "Don had been a fixture out here, along with his dog, Reilly, for quite some time," explained Lockwood proudly. "We felt he and Mary deserved to be recognized for their time spent."
