Kimball, Banner students have strong showings at state fair

Maddie Cook, left, and Alycia Vrbas show off the blue ribbons they earned at the 2015 Nebraska State Fair in the area of intermediate poultry showmanship. Alycia also won reserve grand champion honors with her egg exhibit. 

There were 14 participants in the state fair with ties to Kimball and Banner counties. The following are the results for each participant.

Sarinda Bateman of Kimball: Blue Ribbon for 4H Consumer and Family Science - 4H Portfolio Pathways - Original Acrylic Painting.

Chloe Berger of Kimball: Blue Ribbon for 4H Consumer and Family Science - 4H Sketchbook Crossroads - Original Pencil or Chalk Drawing.

Maddie Cook of Bushnell: Blue Ribbon for 4H Poultry - 4H Poultry - Egg Contest, Blue Ribbon for 4H Poultry - 4H Poultry - Showmanship with Model/Visual Aid, and Red Ribbon for 4H Plants - 4H Flor...
