On Sunday, Aug. 2, area residents will have an opportunity to hear an outstanding piano recital by Donica Enevoldsen. The recital will begin at 3 p.m. in the Harry McNees Auditorium at Kimball High School.

Donica was one of only four students to be selected by the University of Nebraska Hixon Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts music faculty as a Nebraska Young Artist of the Year in Piano for 2014.

The recital will include works of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Dvorak, Grieg, Khachaturian and Weber. Performing piano duets with Donica will be: Talia Enevoldsen, a 2012 Nebraska Young Artist of the Year and currently a scholarship student majoring in piano performance at Chadron State College; Erika Revord, a scholarship piano performance major at Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss .; and Rose Nelson, a 2015 Nebraska Young Artist of the Year.
