Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

6 represent Kimball at RYLA Camp

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership training program sponsored by Rotary International that promotes, encourages, and rewards outstanding young people who want to become better leaders.

RYLA consists of an all-expense paid five-day conference that brings together a special group of young men and women from central and western Nebraska to share ideas about becoming better leaders. Action-packed activities, like problem solving games, challenge course, group discussions and teambuilding activities all help participants build confidence and leadership skills.

The 2015 RYLA Camp took place at Halsey National Forrest in the middle of the Nebraska Sandhills July 19-24. Representing the Kimball Rotary Chapter were juniors Eric Escajeda, Taylor Kelsch, Cassie Kurth and Audrey Day, senior Justin Mohr and senior counselor Mo Hanks.

All four students went through an application and interview process to earn their selections to the camp. All four students exclaimed that they had an awesome experience at the camp and would encourage other students to attend next year. The four students will also present to the local Rotary Club about their experiences at the camp.
