River Mossberg, 11, received a no score because he did not make the buzzer, according to his mom, Chelsea, for his ride on a very lively miniature bull, Goat, at the Potter Car Bowl on Saturday, June 27. "He was competing with the big boys," Chelsea said. "He has such a passion and drive for it. He is absolutely born to do this. That's all we keep hearing is that he is a natural and has a lot of 'grit.'" River began riding competitively in 2014 and has been going to schools when possible and he earned the name Iceman at his first bull riding school due to his calm demeanor in the chutes. He competes weekly in Pine Bluffs, Wyo., and will ride in Fort Collins at the Sundance if there is an exhibition, according to Chelsea.
