Spread the word about All-Class Reunion, organizers urge

The All-Class Reunion will be here soon, and chairman Kim Baliman urges locals to share the word about the July 3-5 event.

Baliman said they have received about 170 registrations for the event as of this week.

"If we don't have at least 300 there we will have a serious conversation about whether we will do it again," Baliman said. She added that the committee hopes for at least 500 in attendance.

Baliman said the next two weeks are expected to bring the most registrations in, but some graduates from 1999 through this year may not have received invitations.

"We don't have a good database for that information, so we have names but we don't have addresses," Baliman said. "Anyone who did not get an invitation, but attended school in Kimball can register on Facebook at Kimball All-Class Reunion."

Graduating at Kimball is not a requirement of attending the reunion. Baliman said those who attended for any amount of time are welcome, and teachers and staff are also welcome.

A registration deadline was set for June 1, but Baliman said that she was sure there would be late registration as well and the committee will accept them, even up to the day of the event.

"We know everybody is busy and people forget," Baliman said. "But we promise fantastic food, a great time and out-of-this-world entertainment."

Baliman said that local motels are beginning to fill up for the event and she hopes that residents and local businesses "roll out the red carpet."

"I really hope our restaurants will stay open to feed everyone," she said. "I also hope for nice weather, but can't do much about that. It will be green, that is for sure."
