Elizabeth "Liz" P. Adels

A graveside service for Elizabeth “Liz” P. Adels will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, at Kimball Cemetery with Pastor Dan Hinton as preacher.

Friends and family will gather at the Kimball Eagles Lodge, located at 218 S. Chestnut St., at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, for a luncheon prior to the service.

Elizabeth “Liz” P. Adels, 90, of Cheyenne passed away Nov. 18, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Venus, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Henry J. and Fannie (Korb) Novak.

Elizabeth attended school in Grove City, Pa., and graduated in 1942 from Meadville High School in Meadville, Pa. She also attended Alleghany College in Meadville. She lived in Kimball from 1945 to 1983 where she was the proprietor of the Dog N Suds drive-in for a number of years. She moved to Cheyenne, Wyo., in 1983 and retired in 1985. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cheyenne Knit-Wits, Eagles Auxiliary and she played league pool.

She is survived by five children, Melode Olsen of Riverside, Calif., Gary Adels of Riverton, Wyo., Craig Adels of Gillette, Wyo., Sandra Adels of Laramie, Wyo., and Susan Hagan of Cheyenne, Wyo .; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman J. Adels on Nov. 20, 1978. Liz’s companion of many years, Marlin Lowry of Cheyenne, Wyo., passed away Jan. 12, 2015.
