Cajero tabbed April student of the month

Congratulations to Kimball High School's April Student of the Month, Enrique Cajero.

Enrique came to Kimball his freshman year and has participated in many activities throughout his high school career. He lettered in cross country his freshman year, football the next three years and was named all-conference honorable mention his junior and senior years. He also lettered in track the three years he participated. He also took part in One-act his junior and senior years. His favorite memories are definitely the last two high school football games of his senior year against Hershey and Bridgeport, the pre-season basketball game against Scottsbluff this year, and all the good times and laughs he shared with his friends, coaches, and teammates.

Enrique has racked up over 80 hours of community service over his sophomore and junior years of high school doing various projects around town, helping the elderly, and teaching pre-kindergarten students Spanish. He has had many part-time jobs with different farmers and companies in the area including farmer Jim Young, Frenchman Valley Coop, Evertson Oil, and currently at Walmart in Sidney. Enrique was elected student council president this year, was in Spanish Club for three years, and has been an honor roll student throughout high school. Enrique will be attending Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota to major in nursing and will also be playing football.

Enrique will receive a $25 gift certificate from the Lions Club and is now eligible for a $500 Lions Club Student of the Month Scholarship to be presented yearly to one of the "making a difference" winners.

We are very proud to have Enrique Cajero as a student at Kimball Junior/Senior High School and one who is "making a difference."
