Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Oliver Reservoir advisory meeting is Thursday

The South Platte NRD and the Oliver Reservoir Advisory Committee are hosting a public meeting to discuss the future of the Oliver Reservoir Recreation Area west of Kimball.

The meeting will be held at the Kimball Public Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.

The district and committee will review short and long term goals, a fish stocking report, receive input from community members and other subjects related to the Oliver’s continued success.

Volunteers will also have a chance to sign up for volunteer work days or to help accomplish specific tasks for care and upkeep.

“It’s been great how the community has embraced Oliver since the district took over operations,” said Galen Wittrock, SPNRD assistant manager. “The volunteer efforts have made a big difference in how quickly many projects have been accomplished.”

In support of those attending and volunteering, treats will be served at the meeting, compliments of the Kimball Dairy Queen.
