Walker tabbed student of the month

Congratulations to Kimball High School's March Student of the Month, Jaycie Walker.

Throughout high school, Jaycie has been involved in many activities. She has participated in band for four years, jazz band for one year, has been a part of the cheer team for three years, the volleyball team for two years, and the girls golf team for two years. Jaycie qualified for state golf both years she participated and her senior year, she medaled at every meet but one, received first place at Bayard, qualified for Best of the West and medaled, received all conference, made all region third team, and placed eighth at districts qualifying individually for state. She has also participated in speech for two years, one act for one year, Interact Club for two years and mock trial for two years.

Jaycie has been on the honor roll for three years and is very active in her church as well where for six years she has participated as a puppet in the children's ministry called "Truth Quest." Jaycie plans to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., next year and major in English. She also hopes to study abroad before she graduates.

Jaycie will receive a $25 gift certificate from the Lions Club and is now eligible for a $500 Lions Club Student of the Month Scholarship to be presented yearly to one of the "making a difference" winners.
