Short-handed Banner County squad competes at Chappell

Banner County's Sierra Flores heads around the track at the Chappell meet held last Friday.

A short-handed Banner County squad competed in the Chappell track meet held last Friday. Banner was without many of its team due to the state FFA conference, which was held last Wednesday through Friday in Lincoln.

Courtney Knisley led the Lady Wildcats with a second place finish in the 3200 meter run. She finished the race in 14:44. Knisley also took eighth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 3:05.30.

Abby Russell led the team in the throws with a throw of 30-0 in the shot put and 86-10 in the discus. She finished eighth in the shot put and ninth in the discus. Erika Geary finished 1...
