Alice Carol Spencer

Alice Carol Spencer, age 89, passed away the evening of Feb. 7, 2015 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1925 to Vernon Anker and Mary Sophia (Larson) Nelson in the family homestead south of Potter. She lived on the family farm, attended the District 82 country school through eighth grade, and she graduated from Potter High School in 1943. Carol attended Kearney State Teachers College for the 1943-1944 term and earned her teaching certificate.
