Potter-Dix girls take title in freshman/sophomore tournament

The Potter-Dix girls rolled past Creek Valley and Kimball to win its freshman and sophomore tournament held early last week.

The Lady Coyotes opened with a 49-28 win against Creek Valley. They jumped out the gate with a 15-6 lead and went up 31-13 at halftime.

Audrey Juelfs led the team with a triple-double, scoring 10 points, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists. Alexus Rozelle added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

In the championship game, the Lady Coyotes rolled to a 51-16 win against Kimball.

Potter-Dix scored 19 points in each of the first two quarters for a 38-9 halftime advantage.

Rozelle led Potter-Dix with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 17 rebounds. Juelfs also scored 13 points.
