Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

WINNING AGAIN

The Kimball High School speech team placed first out of 15 teams at the Sutherland Invitational on Saturday.  Individually, three Kimball students took first place. Kennedy Lewis took first place in extemporaneous speaking, Nicholas Thomas-Lewis finished first in poetry, and Leisha Casimiro took first place in informative speaking. Jessica Portillo and Nicholas Thomas-Lewis finished third in duet acting, while Connor Moore finished fourth in humorous prose, Jessica Portillo took fourth place in persuasive speaking, Nicholas Thomas-Lewis, and the team of Paycen Harroun, Kaden Adrian, Sebastian Portillo and Connor Moore finished fourth in oral interpretation of drama. The team competed at the Western Trails Conference meet in Bayard on Wednesday, and will travel to the Bridgeport Invitational on Saturday.
