Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Biggs

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Biggs, 95, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015.

Mary Elizabeth Biggs was born on Aug. 22, 1919, the daughter of Marion and Anna Lora (Elkington) Peake. She attended elementary school in Colorado and then graduated from the Kimball County High School.

Betty was married to John Teare in Akron, Colorado and to this union Kathleen, Jane and Sharon were born. The family farmed and ranched in Colorado. John preceded her in death in 1953. She was married to Robert R. Biggs in 1957 and to this union Richard "Moe" and Maggie joined the family with Robert's children Bill and John. The family farmed and ranched. Robert preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors include her children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane, and sister, Florence.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, at the Kimball Presbyterian Church in Kimball with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
