Unemployment rate has slight jump locally

 


The unemployment rate for Kimball and Banner counties showed a slight increase in December, according to numbers released Friday by the Nebraska Department of Labor.

In Kimball County, the December 2014 unemployment rate was 2.6 percent. That was a half a percentage rise from November’s revised rate of 2.1 percent. In real numbers, there were 50 unemployed people in Kimball in December, up from 41 in November. The unemployment rate for December 2013 was 3.4 percent.

The unemployment rate in Banner County rose over a percentage point from the November 2014 revised number to December 2014....
