Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Potter-Dix boys basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend. The Coyotes (4-7) dropped a game at rival Leyton on Friday, and then rebounded with a win against Hay Springs on Saturday. They also lost at Kimball on Jan. 13.
Leyton 54, Potter-Dix 39
Leyton slowly built its lead throughout the game in a 54-39 win against rival Potter-Dix last Friday.
Leyton (6-5) led 17-14 in the first quarter and held a 27-22 halftime advantage. The Warriors outscored the Coyotes by 10 points in the second half.

Potter-Dix 53, Hay Springs 43
Potter-Dix built a four point halftime lead and went on to defeat visiting Hay Springs, 53-43, on Saturday.
The Coyotes outscored the Hawks (2-9) by 18-14 in the second quarter for a 30-26 halftime lead. They added to that led in both the third and fourth quarters.
