Garrett Grubbs took third place in the 145 weight class and Brandon Blickensderfer finished fourth in the 106 weight class at the Cheyenne East JV Invitational held Saturday.
Blickensderfer received a first round bye, then went on to win by fall against William Fish of Niobara County in the second round. In the third round, he defeated Jason Hobbs of Wheatland by fall. In the championship round, Blickensderfer lost by technical fall to Remington Southwick of Niobara County and then dropped a 9-3 decision to Fish in a rematch in the third place match.
Grubbs received byes in the first and third rounds, and won by fall over Jamis Lopez of Cheyenne East in the second round. In the championship round, he opened with a defeat by fall to Gavin Niemeyer of Natrona County. Grubbs came back in the third place match to win by fall over Antonio Murillo of Gering.
