Honoring mentors in the TeamMates program

TeamMates mentors were honored last Friday at halftime of the Kimball girls basketball game against Mitchell. TeamMates, a mentoring program now in its 10th year in Kimball, was started by legendary University of Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne and his wife, Nancy, in 1991 "in an effort to provide support and encouragement to school aged youth." There are 44 mentors in the program this year in Kimball. They were honored Friday since January is National Mentoring Month. If anyone would like to get involved with the program, contact Carolyn Montgomery at Kimball Junior/Senior High School.
