The Banner County boys basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend at the Sioux County tournament. The Wildcats (1-6) opened the tournament with a win against Crawford, and fell narrowly in the finale to host Sioux County.
Banner County 48, Crawford 37
The Wildcats pulled ahead in the second quarter and went on to defeat Crawford, 48-37, on Friday to earn their first win of the season.
Crawford (3-7) led 8-6 after the first quarter when Banner came back for a 21-16 halftime lead. The Wildcats extended their lead in the third quarter, outscoring Crawford 18-8.
