Reminder: Drip or run water during cold temperatures

Due to the freezing temperatures, the City of Kimball would like to remind people to leave a small stream of cold water running in your home, especially at night, when you will be gone for an extended time, or when no water is being used. A small stream approximately the size of a pencil lead should be enough to prevent water freeze-up which can break pipes and water meters.

Please run your water when the temperature is 10 degrees or colder.

Customers are asked to contact the Kimball Water Department at 308-235-1820 or the Kimball city office at 308-235-3639 with any concerns or questions.

Also, remember your pets are susceptible to frostbite as a result of the freezing temperatures. Keep them indoors during inclement weather.
