Wildcats drop close games to Leyton, Creek Valley

Leyton pulled away in the second quarter and held off Banner County for a 48-40 win on Friday.

The two teams were nip and tuck throughout the first quarter. Tyson Dahlgrin scored the first of his 23 points with a layup just 23 seconds into the game to give the Wildcats (0-5) the initial lead. Leyton tied it up before Michael McKown's jumper put the Wildcats back on top, and a Dahlgrin free throw gave Banner a 5-2 advantage.
