Turnovers haunt Lady Wildcats in home defeat against Leyton

Turnovers haunted the Banner County girls in a 60-33 home loss on Friday against Leyton.

The Lady Wildcats (1-5) held close early before turnovers proved the difference in the defeat. Banner turned the ball over 41 times, compared to just 17 turnovers for Leyton.

MaKenna Dahlgrin got things going early for Banner, scoring a layup with an assist from Shay White for a 2-0 lead just 47 seconds into the game. Leyton came back for a 6-3 advantage, before Ashlynne Hanan's jumper at the 3:24 mark of the first quarter cut the deficit to 6-4. Leyton took a 9-4 lead before a White free throw made it...
