Kimball JV teams split weekend games

The Kimball High junior varsity basketball teams opened their seasons this past weekend hosting Perkins County and travelling to Morrill.

The Kimball girls won over Perkins County 39-21 with Alex Reader high with 10 points including a pair of treys. Hannah Biesecker had 9, Ireland Olson 6 with 2 treys, Jannel Fiehtner 6, Justine Heeg, Kaitlin Wurdeman, Shauntae Daily, and Alexis Lulf all had 2 points.

Kimball lost at Morrill 26-22 with Fiehtner high with 9, Kaylyn Nelson 6, Wurdeman 4, Olson 2, and Biesecker 1.

The Kimball boys lost to a very talented Perkins County club 69-54. Jordan Greenwood had 21,Tyler Magninie 16, Ethan Land and Jaden Withrow 5 each, Andrew McCloud 3, Kole Bush 2, Jaikob Cole and Grant Golding 1 each.

In two quarters of JV play at Morrill, the Kimball boys won 34-10 with Greenwood high with 13, Land 12, Withrow 4, Tyrus Gawith 2, Magninie 2, and McCloud 1.

Early start times for the junior varsity games this weekend with 3:30 Friday night for the Hershey game and 2 p.m. Saturday for the Bayard games.
