Thanksgiving day prices increase an average of 37 cents from last year, Farm Bureau reports

The American Farm Bureau’s annual price survey of classic items found on the Thanksgiving Day dinner table was recently released. This year’s feast for 10 averaged $49.41, which is an increase of 37 cents from last year’s average cost.

The big item, a 16-pound turkey, came in at $21.65. That is roughly a $1.35 per pound decrease from the 2013 cost. Included in the survey are sweet potatoes, frozen peas, rolls, dairy products, turkey, salad and pumpkin pie.
