Bogert named to all-state chorus

Samuel Bogert, a student at Potter-Dix Schools, was selected for the 2014 Nebraska All-State Chorus. Bogert, a Tenor II, is the son of Chris and Elizabeth Bogert of Dix.

Approximately 3,000 students across the state audition for the Nebraska All-State Band, Chorus, Jazz Band and Orchestra, which are sponsored by the Nebraska Music Educators Association. He was one of 440 students from across the state selected for the prestigious honor.

The guest conductor for the group will be Craig Jessop, dean of the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University. The chorus will rehearse Nov. 19-21...
