Pheasants Forever youth mentor hunt

The Mile High Chapter of Pheasants Forever held its Youth Mentor Hunt last Saturday. There were 11 kids that participated along with seven mentors. The youth hunters must have completed and passed a hunter safety course to be able to participate. The day consists of a refresher talk on their hunter safety, provided by Larry Stahla, then a talk by Todd Filipi, the Wildlife Biologist from Scottsbluff. The group then shoots clays, and then practice knocking on the door and asking the land owner for permission to hunt on their land.
