Kimball Area Foundation Dinner and Auction set for Nov. 7

The Kimball Area Foundation 4th Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction is set for 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7.

The Kimball Area Foundation Fund has been in existence for several years. It was established as an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation to build community support for Kimball County and the surrounding area. The Fund Advisory Committee has provided grants to many community organizations such as soccer, 4-H, Kimball Concert Association, Grace Camp, Money Smart Kimball, Shop with a Cop and more.

The benefit dinner and auction is held to raise funds and give back to the area activities. The fund accepts grant proposals in four areas: donor education efforts (planned giving, financial literacy education), economic development (community promotion, beautification, education for entrepreneurs, etc.), leadership skill development (community leadership, structure and business) and youth engagement (Creative expression programs, health programs, recruitment of young families back to the community, etc.).

Tickets for the dinner and silent auction are available by contacting Jan Sears at 308-235-4523, Nancy Olsen at 308-436-2771 or other Fund Advisory Committee members listed on http://www.kimballareafoundation.com.

This year the event will be held at the Kimball Event Center. The dinner is $25 per person for a prime rib dinner, entertainment and the silent auction and other fun activities. The live auction will begin at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
