LaVern J. Frederick

LaVern John Frederick passed away December 21, 2013 in Queen Creek, Arizona. Cremation has taken place and a life celebration will be held at a later date.

LaVern was born in Kimball, NE on August 14, 1923 to Louis and Josephine (Tex) Frederick. He was raised in Kimball and graduated from Kimball County High School. He served in the army and did a tour in Korea. He married Mildred Miles on February 5,1947. LaVern farmed many years and was an accomplished woodworker. They moved to Arizona where he continued his carpentry business. LaVern will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his handcrafted treasures made for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Queen Creek, AZ. Sons: Bill (Sharon) Frederick of Littleton, CO, Barry (Barb) Frederick of Bushnell, NE, Bruce (Karen) Frederick of Queen Creek, AZ. Eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, twin sister Lorraine Volkmer and sister Mary Egging, both of Sidney, NE.
