Wanda I. O'Hare

Wanda I. O’Hare, 90, of Kimball, died at her home in Kimball on Friday, December 27, 2013. Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials have been established to Prairie Haven Hospice at 2 W. 42nd. Street, Suite 2300 Scottsbluff, NE 69361. Wanda Ileen O’Hare was born in Vim, Colorado on November 29, 1923, the daughter of Royal and Lena (Key) Farley. She was raised and received her education in the Vim schools. She was married to Melvin O’Hare in California in 1944, prior to his departure to Germany during WWII. She moved back to Kimball while Melvin served his country, and in 1946 they purchased the farm in Weld County Colorado. They moved to Southwest Colorado in 1964 and Wanda worked as a homemaker taking care of her family. They moved to Nathrop, Colorado and then in October of 2013 she moved back to Kimball. She was a commercial artist, loved photography, gardening and storytelling and was very good at all. She was very loyal to her family and friends and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her sons, George (Kathy) O’Hare of Nathrop, CO., and Charles (Joann) O’Hare of Bismark, ND; grandchildren Rachel (James) Fernando, Rebecca O’Hare, Janie (Jeff) O’Hare-Williams, and Deborah (Rance) O’Hare-Dahlin; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws Virginia O’Hare of New Raymer, CO., and Alma O’Hare of Reliance, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Linder, Dale and Keith and a sister Thelma Blackburn.
