Thomas James Gardner

 

Thomas "Tom" James Gardner, 53, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on December 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Amanda Esping officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view the Book of Memories and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to the Kimball Volunteer Fire Department or First English Lutheran Church. The services for Tom have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Thomas James Gardner was born in Knoxville, Iowa on June 3, 1960, the son of Jude and Dora (Ganske) Gardner. He was raised and attended school in Knoxville and graduated from the Knoxville High School in 1978. He moved to Houston and attended college. Tom moved to Omaha and went to work for Nu-Trend Homes. He later moved to York, NE and was sales manager for Champion Home Builders. Tom moved to Kimball in 2009 and was married to Darlene Noah in Kimball on July 11, 2009. He worked at Stahla Homes in sales and management. Tom was serving as the President of Nebraska Manufactured Homes Association. He was a huge Green Bay Packers and Nebraska fan, he loved boating, fishing and being with family. Tom and Dar loved to travel and had been to several places including Australia, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico and Hawaii. He loved working outside and enjoyed time on the mower taking care of his place. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Gardner of Kimball, NE; father Jude (Judy) Gardner of Omaha, NE; sons Josh (Laura) Gardner of St. Louis, MO., Ben Gardner of Point Magu, CA., Spencer (Nicole) Noah of Austin, TX., and Scott Noah of Denver, CO; daughters Amanda Noah of Denver, CO., and Laura Noah of Kimball, NE; brother Dan (Sue) Gardner of Crawfordsville, IA; sister Cindy (Jerry) Bemis of Limestone, TN; and granddaughter Reese Hinton. He was preceded in death by his mother Dora Gardner and brother Bob Dunlap.
