Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Carol Lynn Wheeler

Carol Lynn Wheeler, 56, went to Heaven to be with the LORD on October 2, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ after a long battle with several different kinds of cancer. She was born October 2, 1957 in Kimball, NE to Patrick James & Melba Verna (Heidemann) Lacy.

Carol moved with her family to Phoenix, AZ in 1970 and was the second graduating class at Trevor G. Browne High School. She loved a good challenge of different kinds of puzzles and would beat just about everyone she played in a game of pool or darts; she also enjoyed doing yard work then jumping in the pool for a nice swim.

Carol is survived by her daughter Jennifer Springfield and her Life Partner Jeff Ryan; grandchildren Christopher Early, Rebekah Metcalf, James Springfield, Dustin Ryan and Jacob Ryan; sister Joann (Ron) Bissey; nephews Grant (Susanne) Bissey and their 2 children Mercedes and Steven and Bret (Nicole) Bissey and their son Nicholas; niece Nicole (Jay) Hoskins and their 2 children Taylor and Chelsea; uncle Paul Heidemann; aunt Edna Taylor; numerous cousins and her best friend of 43 years Penny Potter along with many other close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Maurice Lacy and son Brian Lacy.

Carol will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to Chaplain Kathy Kenney, the nurses and staff at Beacon of Hope, Pastor Bock and to my new family at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home for all the love and support through this difficult time.

Memorial Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM with words of comfort by Pastor Douglas Bock. A Celebration of her life will follow at the family's home.
