Geraldine M. Tebrinke

Geraldine M. Tebrinke, 98, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Friday, October 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating.

Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends may view the obituary and leave condolences for the family at http://www.cantrellfh.com.

Memorials have been established to the Kimball County Manor or Trinity United Methodist Church. The services for Geraldine have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Geraldine Mae Tebrinke was born in Scottsbluff County on September 2, 1915, the daughter of Clarence and Jessie (Nelson) Ott. She moved with her family to Kimball as a small child and has been a resident since that time. Geraldine attended school in Kimball and graduated from the Kimball County High School in 1933.

Following graduation she worked for the telephone company as an operator. While working for the phone company she met Donald J. Tebrinke, who was a deputy for the Kimball County Sherriff. The couple was married on December 22, 1940.

She worked many jobs during her younger years, including the Kimball County Assessor’s office and the local cable TV company. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and a charter member of Job’s Daughters Bethel #12 in Kimball. Geraldine enjoyed sewing and did needle work, crosstitch and crewel and made many hand embroidered tea towels for family and friends. She was also an avid reader and would often read 2 or 3 books a week. She enjoyed the holidays and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Diane (Joe) Bryarly of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Janelle Bryarly and companion Jeff Hannaman of Colorado Springs, CO., and Judd (Sarah Bryarly of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren Easton and Carolyn; numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband and a sister Carolyn Bissey preceded her in death.
