Renee I. Burry

Renee’ I. Burry, 70, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, died in Cheyenne on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to the UCLA Medical Center at 757 Westwood Plaza in Los Angeles, California 90095. The services for Renee’ have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Renee’ Irene Burry was born in Kimball on April 12, 1943, the daughter of Alva and Beatrice (Engquist) Story. She was raised and attended school in Kimball and graduated in 1961. She then attended Grand Island Community College.

She was married to Roger Burry in May of 1962. The family lived in Cairo and York, Nebraska before moving back to Kimball in 1968. They owned and operated the Mobil Gas Station and Bulk Plant in Kimball for a number of years.

She also worked at the Kimball Hospital. Renee also lived in Cheyenne, WY and Las Vegas, NV and worked as a Lab Tech for the Veterans Administration while living there.

She later moved to Pine Bluffs, WY. She retired in 2003 due to ill health. She always worked hard to take care of her family.

She loved knitting, butterflies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons Robert (Trish) Burry of Pine Bluffs, WY., Randy (DeVota) Burry of Pine Bluffs, WY., and Richard (Gina) Burry of Great Mills, MD; brother Darrel (Laura) Story of Denton, TX; sister Deb (Ken) Ottoson of Potter, NE; grandchildren Brandi Carruthers, Ashley Bradney, Jim Williams, Cassidy Eastman, Megan Burry, Alisha Michaud and Cordell Burry; great grandchildren Riley and LiLee Bradney, A.J. Williams, Bodee and Hadley Carruthers, and Aleeah Eastman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Lyle Story.
