Gary Foster

Forest Gary Foster, 77, of Kimball, passed away at his home on Thursday evening, January 10, 2013, surrounded by his family. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., January 15, at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball, with Father Ed Newbury officiating. Online condolences may be left at http://www.cantrellfh.com. Memorials may be made to the family. The services for Gary have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Gary was born March 15, 1935 at Burr Oak, Kansas, to Forest and Retha (Hawkins) Foster. On December 13, 1953, he was united in marriage to Barbara C. Lewis in Burr Oak. To this union three daughters were born. On December 12, 1968 he married Betty Q. Stark in Cambridge. Gary married M. Mae (Russell) Dobrinski on December 11, 1984 in Elko, Nevada.

For the majority of his life he enjoyed the open road as a truck driver. Gary and Mae traveled together all over the United States as an owner-operator team. Gary was an avid reader of history, an expert family genealogist, story teller and enjoyed trips on his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Mae of Kimball; daughters Patti (Dewey) Luckinbill of Bridgeport; Cindy (Mac) Maruniak-Diehl of Burr Oak, KS; A. LeAnn “Bunny” Sinks of Lodgepole. Sister, Alice Dell Hoppe, of Phillipsburg, KS; Grandchildren: Gage Foster Coduto of Fredricksburg, VA; Reagan (Bill) Boyer of Scottsbluff; Darcie (Gyula) Weiser of Parker, CO; Kyle Sinks of Louisville, KY; Reed (Cara) Sinks of Jacksonville, NC; Mitchell Forest Maruniak of Parker, CO; Benjamin Luckinbill of Scottsbluff; Aislinn Sinks of Sidney; six great-grandchildren and stepchildren Vickie (Kyle) Morton; Becky Addleman; Dan Dobrinski;

Preceding Gary in death were his parents, infant twin brother Larry, and granddaughter Lacie Maruniak.
