1949-2012

Susan O. Withrow, 63, of Kimball, died at Kimball Health Services on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Memorial services were held on Saturday, November 24 at the Kimball Presbyterian Church with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Private family burial was held in the Kimball Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Church or the Kimball Volunteer Fire Department. Susan was born on February 25, 1949 in Omaha to James Hurd Douglass and Thelma Arlene (Collie) Douglass. The family moved to Pueblo Colorado in 1956 where Susan attended elementary school and graduated from Centennial High School in 1967. She then attended nursing school in Denver. Susan and Loyd Withrow were married on December 7, 1968. Loyd died February 22, 2008. After their marriage, the couple moved to Westminster CO where she was a stay at home mom until all of their children were in school. She then went to work as an office manager at a construction firm. Sue retired and moved to Kimball in 2003 where she was co-owner and operator of “Book-N-Tea”. She was a caregiver and loving wife, mother and grandmother. In later years she enjoyed traveling the world with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Wendy) Davis, Jenni Ciaramitaro (Duane Whiteyes), John (Michelle) Withrow, Jimmy (Geneva) Withrow; her mother, Thelma Douglass; sisters Lynn (Barry) Daugherty, Barb Douglass and Teri Douglass and her grandchildren, Aaron, Jordan, Dalton, Tess, Jamie, Jacqueline, Jonathan, Jaden, Jacob and Jameson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd T. Withrow, father James Douglass and brothers Jimmy, Michael and Van.
